LU'AN NO. 1 WATERWORKS

   Lu’an is located in the western Anhui province of China, neighboring Henan to the northwest and Hubei to the southwest and hosts a population of over 5.6 million.  With the increasing economic growth, the population increase demanded a wastewater treatment system that can handle the capacity of growth.

   No. 1 Waterworks of Lu’An City Project was financed by the Sovereign Guarantee Preferential Loans program from the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. The project was completed in 2016.  The plant, located at Changan South Road in Lu’an City, has a capacity of 100,000 tons per day. For this project Merit Technologies provided integration, installation, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment. The equipment provided include pumps, valves, a paddle mixer, an automatic chlorinator cabinet, and more.
