TIANJIN ZHANGGUIZHUANG COMPOSTING PLANT
Tianjin is located northern coastal China and is one of the five central cities of the country, with a total population of 15.5 million people. The city is governed as one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of the PRC and is under direct administration of the central government. Tianjin borders Hebei Province and Beijing Municipality and is part of the Bohai Economic Rim, making it the largest coastal city in northern China.
This project was funded by the City of Tianjin. The WWTP was completed in 2013 and has a capacity of 480,000 tons of wastewater per day, 150,000 tons of recycling water per day, 300 tons of bio-solids per day. The core process of wastewater treatment is multi-stage A/O, coagulating sedimentation, and denitrification filter. The core technology of composting is MBT negative pressure Aerobic Composting Process. This WWTP serves the eastern of Tianjin City.
Merit Technologies provided integration, installation, and commissioning of equipment including both mechanical and electrical components, such as agitators, mixers, belt conveyors, sludge plunger pumps, a PLC system, and various other instruments.
